Everything you need to know to use Vipra Connect. This guide covers the app from installation to daily use.

🚀 1. Getting started

Vipra Connect is a secure community app for the Vipra community. You need an invitation or approval from your community administrators to join.

Download the app

Install Vipra Connect from the Google Play Store on your Android device. Search for “Vipra Connect” or use the link on our website.

Get the app on Google Play

Sign in

Open the app and sign in with your phone number. You may need to enter an OTP (one-time password) sent to your number. Only phone numbers that are approved by your community can access the app.

👤 2. Your profile

Your profile is visible to other verified community members. Keeping it up to date helps others find and connect with you.

Editing your profile

Go to your profile screen (usually via the menu or profile icon) and tap “Edit profile”. You can update:

Profile photo

You can add or change your profile photo from the edit profile screen. Only other community members can see it; it is not shared outside the app.

📋 3. Community directory

The directory lists verified members of your community. Use it to find people by name, village, gotra, or profession.

Browsing and search

Open the Directory or Members section in the app. You can scroll through the list or use the search bar to filter by name, village, or other details. Tapping a member opens their profile.

Contacting members

From a member’s profile you can usually call or message them using the contact options shown (e.g. phone, WhatsApp), depending on what the app and your community allow.

📰 4. Blog & updates

Community admins and authorized users post announcements, event details, and updates in the app’s blog or updates section.

Reading posts

Open the Blog or Updates tab to see the latest posts. Tap a post to read the full content. Stay tuned for events, cultural information, and important notices.

🔔 5. Notifications

The app can send you notifications for new announcements, messages, or other activity. To receive them, allow notifications when the app or your device asks for permission.

Managing notifications

You can turn notifications on or off in the app’s settings (or in your phone’s Settings under Apps → Vipra Connect). Disabling them may mean you miss important community updates.

🔗 6. Sharing your profile

You can share a link to your profile so others can open it in the app or on the website. This is useful for networking or introducing yourself to other members.

How to share

From your profile, use the “Share” or “Share profile” option. The app will generate a link. You can send it via WhatsApp, SMS, or any messaging app. When someone opens the link on their phone with Vipra Connect installed, your profile opens in the app; otherwise they can see a web page with an option to get the app.

🔒 7. Privacy & security

Vipra Connect is designed with privacy first. Your data is only visible to verified community members and is not sold to third parties.

Screenshot protection

In sensitive screens, the app may prevent or discourage screenshots to protect member information. This is a feature to keep community data private.

Who can see your information

Only approved, signed-in members of your community can see your profile and contact details. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. FAQ

I can’t sign in. What should I do?

Make sure your phone number is registered and approved by your community administrators. If you have already been approved, check your internet connection and try again. If the problem continues, contact your community admin.

I don’t see the Directory or Blog.

Some sections may be available only after your account is fully verified, or your community may enable features gradually. If you believe you should have access, contact your community administrators.

How do I change my phone number?

Account and phone number changes are usually handled by community administrators for security. Reach out to them to update your registered number.

I want to delete my account.

You have the right to delete your account. Look for “Account” or “Settings” in the app and then “Delete account” or similar. You can also contact your community administrators for help with account removal.
